Gold medalists Joey Barba and Eusebio Quiniones are two patriotic mountain bike cyclists who will stop at nothing in bringing even more glory and national pride to the Philippines. With the help of FusionExcel and our amazing Scalar Energy products, they made it to the top!

Joey Barba, at 26 years old, has already achieved so much in the sport. He was the one who gave the Philippines its first gold at the 2007 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, winning the men’s mountain bike downhill finals for the country. Also a medalist at the 2005 SEA Games, Barba is the Philippines’ national champion from 2005-2010, making him a force to be reckoned with in the sport.

Like Barba, 38-year-old Eusebio “Eboy” Quiniones has given the country much pride as well. A multiple SEA Games medalist from 2001 to 2007, he has been the Philippines’ national champion for three straight years, spanning from 2006 to 2008.

Together, they are two of the best mountain bike cyclists in the country. They are two patriots the Philippines can definitely be proud of. And now that they are ardent supporters of FusionExcel and Scalar Energy, the sky’s the limit what these two gold medalists can do.

Our team did a short interview with both of them and they were more than happy to oblige us:

What is your motivation in getting to the top?

Joey Barba: My family is what motivates me to be on top. That and pride for the Philippines.

Eusebio Quiniones: My motivation is to prove to myself that at 38 years old, I can still keep up with the young cyclists out there.

For you, what is the difference between reaching a certain level of performance and constantly maintaining this?

Joey Barba: Training is very important to be on top. But once you get there, that’s when it starts to get tricky. You have to stay committed to being the best and always be reminded to stay away from distractions that could impede your progress.

Eusebio Quiniones: Focus and discipline are two things that will let you reach the level of performance you need to be the best. When you’ve finally reached it, you must remember what it takes to get you there. You can’t afford to be careless or complacent.

What are your current goals in the sport? In life?

Joey Barba: My goal, as far as the sport is concerned, is to once again win a gold medal for the Philippines and to be ranked among the Top 5 in the Asian Mountain Bike Championship. Right now, Japan holds the top spot so we have a lot of work to do. In life, I want to finish my studies and have a better and brighter future for myself and my family when I finally decide to settle down. For the record, I’m not planning to have one yet. (Laughs)

Eusebio Quiniones: My ultimate goal in the sport is the opportunity to compete and give honor for the Philippines at the Olympics. In life, I want to provide my family with the best that life has to offer.

How important is having team spirit in the sport?

Joey Barba: It is very important. It’s what makes us push each other in training for the sake of our country.

Eusebio Quiniones: In a race, team spirit plays a very important role in order for a team to reach the finish line first. We ride in groups of four in competitions and during these races, we have our attackers and defenders. This is where teamwork comes in. If the attackers do not attack the front-markers in time, or if the defenders fail to protect them, we won’t be able to hold our position. We always need to work together to win races for the country.

What significance does having sponsors have?

Joey Barba: Having sponsors is the key in order for any given team to progress in the sport. I am sponsored by Green Thumb Racing and everyday, we train new cyclists to become the very best at what they do. They are the future of the sport and it is our responsibility to help them realize their full potential and let them bring more glory for the country.

Eusebio Quiniones: It is crucial to have sponsors if you want to be able to compete in big international competitions such as the SEA Games or even the Olympics. We understand that the budget allotted for sports in the Philippines is really not that much so having sponsors really help fill that void.

Athletes are always involved in fund-raising and charitable events. How have you been active in this regard?

Joey Barba: As a member of Green Thumb Racing, we give back to the community by taking part in humanitarian activities and programs. It is our way of showing them that we are so thankful for all their support.

Eusebio Quiniones: We do our part in giving back to the community. The Philippine National Team makes sure that it returns all the love and support that our countrymen give us.

FE is proud to be presented with the Outstanding Asian Community Contribution Award 2011 by the 1st Lady Of Malaysia YABhg Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor during the Malaysia Women’s Career Building Association (PPUWM)’s Anniversary Dinner cum Awards Presentation Night held on 15th Sept 2011. The Award was received on behalf by FE’s Event Manager Mr Patrick Chan together with Miss Malaysia World 2011 Ms Chloe Chen. On behalf of FE, Ms Chloe Chen presented a Gift Of Appreciation to the 1st Lady.

Zidov Akuma, Star of Contender Asia & 2008 Swiss Muay Thai Champion

I have involved in Muay Thai Kick Boxing for many years. I am currently the 2008 Swiss Muay Thai Champion and the 2006 Swiss SANDA Champion (SANDAis a combination of Muay Thai and Kung Fu).

Recently, I starred in Contender Asia as Captain of the Team. 400 million viewers around the world viewed contender Asia! I have been featured and interviewed by numerous magazines and newspapers around the world (including Malaysian Star News-paper). As you can see, I lead a pretty hectic lifestyle!

When my good friend, Ramazan Ramazanov (World Muay Thai Heavyweight Champion) introduced FE’s Quantum Pendant to me and did the demonstrations on me, I was very impressed. WOW!

Q. Can I shower with the pendant?

A. Yes. Water will not affect the effectiveness of the pendant. In fact Scalar Energy reacts best with water. Hidden health risk in mobiles: Phone giants accused of burying warnings in small print.

Health risk: Mobile phone firms have been accused of concealing warnings about the health risks of using their handsets.

A warning that Apple’s popular iPhone should be kept at least 15mm away from the body is buried deep inside the manual.

BlackBerry goes even further, saying customers should use their devices hands-free or keep them an inch from the body ‘including the abdomen of pregnant women and the lower abdomen of teenagers’. Again, this advice is hidden in the instruction booklet.

All other manufacturers, including Nokia and HTC, carry similar small-print warnings despite insisting that holding mobiles against the ear and head is harmless.

Health campaigners and politicians on both sides of the Atlantic are calling for clear warnings to be put on handset boxes.

They are also demanding a public education campaign, starting in schools, to advise on the safe use of the devices.

Alasdair Philips, of Powerwatch, an independent group which investigates the safety of mobile phones, said: ‘Most people have no idea about these warnings.

The safety advice should be included on the boxes and far more prominently in the “getting started” section of user guides and not just in the detail at the back that hardly anyone reads.

‘This should be only part of a much wider public education campaign that begins in the schools.’

The safety advice in manuals is designed to limit so-called Radio Frequency exposure. This is said to heat body tissue and some – inconclusive – research suggests it is linked to tumours in the brain.

Blackberry torch: Use hands-free operation if it is available and keep at least 0.98in (25mm) from your body when turned on and connected to the wireless network. Reduce call time.

Apple iPhone: When using near your body for voice calls or for wireless network data, keep iPhone at least 15mm (5/8in) away from the body and only use accessories that do not have metal parts. Again maintain at least 15mm separation from the body.

Nokia C6: Maintain a normal use position at the ear at least 15mm (5/8in) away from the body. Any accessory should not contain metal and should position the device the above-stated distance from the body.

Advice: Campaigners say pregnant women should keep their handset away from the foetus in the first six months

Most RF exposure comes from the antenna and it can increase when a phone is kept in a pocket because phones increase their power output when a network signal weakens.

Men who carry handsets on their belt or in their pockets with the keypad facing outward will suffer higher exposure because the antenna, which is always at the back, is close to the body.

SAR – Specific Absorption Rate – is the standard industry measurement for the amount of RF energy the body absorbs.

Mr Philips said: ‘When a phone has to power up, it sends high SAR power into the trunk and towards the kidneys and liver. It can be the testicles if in a trouser pocket.

‘Some girls carry them in chest bags which hang just below their breasts. Breasts, eyes and testicles absorb external RF energy the most. Blood-rich organs, such as the liver, kidneys and heart are among the top energy absorbers.

‘The ovaries and foetus are relatively well protected by the trunk, but it obviously makes sense to keep the handset away from those areas, especially the foetus in the first six months. Many later-life causes of ill health are increasingly being recognised as having their roots in foetal exposure to chemicals, hormones, radiation of various sorts.’

He said most handsets also put out pulsed ELF magnetic fields which travel further into the body than RF signals. These are associated with childhood leukaemia and some adult cancers.

Caroline Lucas, Green Party leader and MP, said: ‘Greens have never said don’t use mobile phones, but we have always said that as with any other technology,we need to make people aware of any potential risks and give clear guidance regarding the safest possible use, so we can get the maximum benefit from the technology with the least possible risk.’

Mobile phone firms are legally required to advise customers on how to minimise RF exposure and use their manuals to do so.

Michael Milligan of the Mobile Manufacturers Forum said: ‘A mobile phone can always be used up against the head without the need for this separation, because phones are designed to have the antenna far enough away from the head when making a call.

‘Every mobile phone model is tested to make sure they meet national and international exposure limits for exposure to Radio Frequency emissions, before they can be sold in the UK or elsewhere.’

However, many new phones are so slim, antennas will be closer to the head than distances recommended by many manufacturers.

FE’s New Quantum Bed Brings Miraculous Healing To Old Injuries!

My name is Rickie W. Wong, 63 years of age and I am the Founder Grandmaster of an International Karate-Do organization called “ISSHIN BUDOKAN KARATE INTERNATIONAL”. I suffered from a first stroke in March 2005. The doctor found my left side of my brain to be affected. I underwent physiotherapy and acupuncture for a year but managed to recover only a little of mobility.

In 2006, a very good friend of mine Amy Teh and TC Woon came to my office to sell a Quantum Pendant to me SAYING that it can help me with my stroke problem.
